Annie's Farmhouse Kit Club Talulah Wreath Review

Annie's sent their Talulah Wreath kit in a large thin, white box.

Here's our first peek at what's inside this kit!

This kit includes:

  • Wire wreath frame
  • Green felt cut die sheets (leaves)
  • Green felt strips
  • Ribbon
  • Cream felt balls
  • Self-Adhesive Hook

I needed to supply:

  • Glue gun
  • Glue sticks for the glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Waxed or parchment paper (or any nonstick surface to use a hot glue gun on – I used our granite counter)

I also got full color instructions, which were pretty easy to understand.

How I Made This Talulah Wreath

  1. First, I removed the die cut leaves from the felt sheets. I started with just 14 leaves.

2. Then I placed a drop of hot glue on the bottom round part of the leaf.

3. Then I pinched the sides together and held it for 5 seconds while the glue cooled.

4. I took a felt strip and added 7 dots of hot glue across the bottom of the strip. The dots were evenly spaced. I then adhered the felt leaves to the felt strip.

5. Then I turned the felt strip over and repeated step 6.

6. I repeated steps 1-5 for the remaining felt leaves and felt strips. I can tell you this took me a few hours, but I watched Netflix while I was doing much of this work! 🙂

7. Once I was done with the felt leaves and strips, I had a huge pile of leaves/strips!

8. The next step was to adhere the felt strips with their leaves to the wire wreath frame. You can see here the I added hot glue to the bottom of the strip and adhered it to the top of the inner wire on the frame.

9. I repeated step 8 and added a total of 4 strips for the inner leaves.

10. Then I added 5 strips of leaves for the middle ring.

11. Then I added 6 strips of leaves for the outer ring, and fluffed up the leaves to make sure none were folded under the other leaves.

12. Once all of the strips of leaves were added, I used the glue gun to adhere the cream colored felt balls in random places on the wreath.

13. Once that was done, I used the ribbon to create a hanger by tying a slip knot in the ribbon.

14. Then I snipped of the ends of the ribbon at an angle. At this point I was all done!

Here are some shots of the finished wreath!

In Summary

I really enjoyed creating this Talulah Wreath! Farmhouse Décor is all the rage now, and I made this wreath at a fraction of the cost of what you would pay at the Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware. While you could gather all of these craft supplies to make your own Talulah Wreath, Annie's makes it easy by sending you most of the supplies you need!
