Copper Cow Coffee Club Review
Copper Cow Coffee sends their coffee goodies in a black box.
I love the cow print on top of the box!
I am reviewing their Classic Box which is $45 per month. Before I try any other flavors from Copper Cow Coffee, I want to try their original brew first!
The Classic Box contains 20 black coffees, 20 creamers, and 2 free samples.
I got the salted caramel flavor for my free coffee samples. I can’t wait to try this flavored coffee! Salted caramel is one of my favorite dark chocolate flavors!
Copper Cow Coffee also has a new product which is the Vanilla Latte and it’s already available on their website.
Preparing the Coffee
So I used my regular coffee mug – this is one of my smaller mugs (8 oz.) because I wanted to be sure the pour-over filter would fit! And one Copper Cow Coffee Classic and one creamer. I love their packaging – so neat and simple!
Each packet has instructions on the back. The instructions are very easy to follow and I love how convenient it is! It’s also 100% all-natural and pesticide-free!
The outer coffee packaging had a notch making it really easy to tear the pouch open! Inside was the filter bag that has the coffee in it!
You just need to expand the packet’s side flaps so that the flaps can hang properly on the side walls of your coffee mug.
The coffee filter fits perfectly in my mug! The side flaps might be a problem for mugs that have wider mouths/openings – I think it's designed for regular size mouth mugs.
It also has an easy-tear on top of the filter packet. The trick is to pull up while you’re tearing off the top of the filter packet. It’s very mess-free! I love the fact that the filter and coffee grounds are compostable – it’s very eco-friendly!
Just look at that rich-looking ground coffee. The smell is amazing, too! The coffee is a mix of 70% Robusta and 30% Arabic blend. I’ve tried other Vietnamese coffees and this smells just as amazing as those coffees I’ve had in coffee shops.
I boiled some water in my trusty stovetop tea kettle. You just need to pour 1 ounce of boiling water on top of the coffee and let it sit for 15 seconds so that the ground coffee will be moistened.
Then after that, you add more hot water depending to your liking. The Vietnamese style of preparing this coffee recommends 4 ounces of hot water to be added. The American style recommends 8 ounces of water. As for me, I added hot water just enough to fill my cup!
The filter packet drips slowly and it probably took me 1-2 minutes to get the volume I was looking for.
I also used one creamer and it’s a sweetened, additive-free condensed milk from California.
I used up one packet of creamer since I like my coffee sweet and to balance the deep notes of this Vietnamese coffee.
This coffee was so very delicious and I love how this cup only cost an estimated value of $2 – its taste could compete with known coffee shops without a doubt!
Wrap Up
Copper Cow Coffee’s Vietnamese pour-over coffee is one of my new favorite coffee subscription boxes! The taste of this coffee was so deep, rich, and robust – and the sweetened condensed milk made it the perfect Vietnamese coffee that I can typically only get at my favorite local Vietnamese restaurant. Now I can have it at home and also make my own café sua da! I love the convenience of the pouches and creamer – it’s so easy to prepare, all you need is boiling hot water and a mug! This coffee would be great to take to the office (no more sharing a Keurig coffee maker!) or even on a camping trip.
Copper Cow Coffee would be a nice gift for coffee enthusiasts or anyone you want to treat with special Vietnamese coffee! I also love how compostable their products are – that means lesser damage for mother Earth! I can’t wait to try other flavors from Copper Cow Coffee! This coffee is a yes, yes, yes for me!
