GlobeIn Appetize Review – November 2018
GlobeIn arrives in a tall and wide teal box. It ships from Kennesaw, GA.
This Appetize theme is great for anyone who loves to throw dinner parties or entertain in general. This box includes artisan and handmade serving ware and textiles from all over the world.
Ceramic Olive Boat made in Tunisia – $25
This black and white ceramic olive boat is made in Tunisia, by an artisan who took party in hand painting this lovely platter! This olive boat is also great for cheese, bread, crackers, and dipping sauces.
Wood & Glass Canister made in India – $15
This glass canister is made by an artisan in India who works for a fair trade handicrafts supplier. This glass canister would be a nice serving container for salad dressing, olive oil, or other liquid condiments.
Palm Leaf Placemats made in Oaxaca – $15
These palm leaf placements were made by artisan weavers in Oaxaca City in Mexico. They have a wonderful blue and orange dye on the perimeter of the placemats. They're a nice addition to your table to manage crumbs and make your table prettier!
Swirl Olive Spoon made in India – $10
This swirl olive spoon is made of stainless steel, and was pressed, heated, twisted and beaten by a highly skilled artisan. It would be a lovely addition to serving olives in your olive boat, or used as a serving spoon for other condiments.
Block Printed Napkin Set made in India – $10
These cloth napkins have black accents that were printed using age-old block printing techniques. These cloth napkins can be used at the dinner table or as an eco-friendly napkin that's ready to go in your purse!
Hand Woven Tatreez Napkin Rings made in Palestinian Territories $10
The beautiful napkin rings were hand made using a Palenstinian embroidery technique called “tatreez”. The napkin rings are perfectly colored in orange and blue to pair with the palm leaf placemats. The black accents also go well with the napkins and olive boat!
In Summary
This GlobeIn Appetize Box was just in time for Thanksgiving! The retail value of this box was $85, and the box costs you only $60. I really loved the hand-painted ceramic olive boat, swirl spoon, the placemats. They will be perfect for serving guests over this holiday season! I would also consider buying this box if you are staying with relatives or friends. It would be a nice way to say thank you and a useful, beautiful set of gifts for them!
