LOLA First Period Box Review
The LOLA First Period Box arrived in a super cute blue and white box.
The first item we pulled out of the box was this adorable pouch, perfect for storing these LOLA feminine care products. What teenager wouldn't love a discreet pouch to make that time of the month a little easier and stylish!
LOLA included these fun stickers. These stickers can be used to track your period or can be used to decorate your pouch or anything else!
There was a set of 4 perforated cards that explain how to use all of the products in this box. This card is absolutely perfect for the first time teenager who may not know much about how to use feminine care products and when you would use a tampon vs. pad vs. liner.
The back of these cards has step-by-step instructions on exactly how to use a liner, pad, and tampon. I really wish I had these detailed instructions as a teenager!
Our first peek into the box! There are separate compartments for each of the items we got. There are day pads, night pads, ultra thin liners, and tampons.
Ultra Thin Day Pads with Wings (Qty 6)
When I was a teenager, pads with wings were the way to go! Especially since I didn't really know exactly where to put the pad. The thickness of this pad is really great for medium to heavy day flow and I love that it is made with 100% organic cotton. The blue wrapper is nice and the adhesive holds the pad in place really well.
LOLA Night Pads with Wings (Qty 6)
These night pads with wings are wider than the day pad and gives you additional protection while you sleep. Again, 100% organic cotton is the way to go!
LOLA Ultra Thin Liners (Qty 10)
This ultra thin liners are great for light flow days and nights, and also add a bit of protection when you're not sure when your period is going to hit.
LOLA Light Applicator Tampon
These tampons have a plastic applicator. They are super compact and have a lip which makes it a lot easier for the first timer to make sure they don't go too far with pushing the tampon in. I think organic cotton is especially important for tampons since they sit inside your body.

The tampon itself is very compact but looks like it can hold quite a bit of flow.
I took a photo of the inner box, which can be reused for other small trinkets like school supplies, jewelry, or hair ties!
The saying of “This too shall pass” is an important messge for teen girls who are trying to get used to new body changes that require a change in monthly routine. It's hard enough being a female teen with changing hormones, so encouragement is so important here!
The Verdict
If you have a pre-teen or teen who is expecting Aunt Flow in the coming months, the LOLA first period box would be perfect to introduce them to using feminine care products. The organic cotton is ideal for growing girls – we have enough toxins to deal with nowadays, don't we? I loved th detailed instruction cards and the products themselves were of high quality. I could see sending this box to your daughter, granddaughter, or niece to make transitioning to womanhood much easier.
