June 2018 Gentleman's Box Review
Here is a photo of June's box. I love the color of this box and the gold seal which gives it a nice premium look! The Gentleman's Box is based out of Royal Oak, Michigan, and this box shipped from Warren, MI.
What's Inside the Box
Every Gentleman's Box has a message on the inside the says “Look Good. Feel Good. Be Good.”. This message really sets you up to expect a really good experience! This month's box theme is “Guardian of Worlds”.
This month's box is honoring an actor and philanthropist. It is always fun to try to guess who the honoree of the month is. After a bit of Googling, I found out that this month's honoree is Chris Pratt. His work with the March of Dimes was spurred by the premature birth of his son's (Jack) premature birth, born nine weeks early at just 3 pounds, 12 ounces.
This month's items reflect the color of the info brochure. Purple! I love this color on men, especially those who are bold enough to wear it at work!
Dead Soxy Boardroom Socks – $25
These socks are made out of Bamboo (75%), Polyester (20%) and Elastane (5%). I love how soft these socks feel. These Dead Soxy socks would go great with black or blue pants. They say on the packaging that they are made for men and women!
Fols for Men Dopp Kit – $27
What is a Dopp Kit, you ask? Dopp kit is a term particularly used in the U.S. for toiletry bags. The name derives from the early 20th century leather craftsman Charles Doppelt, whose company designed the case in 1926. This bag is super high quality and feels like it is made out of leather. The inside also has a nice, soft feel. I love how slim this toiletry bag is – it would be perfect for a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor and deodorant.
Robertto's Silk Pocket Square – $80
This blue and purple silk pocket square is really stunning against a great suit jacket. Getting the right pop of color on a business suit isn't easy, but the Gentleman's Box takes the guesswork out for you! I really like the pattern on this pocket square.
The Little Link Cuff Links – $25
These cuff links go perfectly with the socks and pocket square. They almost have a cosmic theme which would be great if you are into sci-fi! The Little Link designed these exclusive galaxy cufflinks.
I'm glad these cuff links came with a little storage bag. It's easy to loose cuff links!
Jack Bodywash – Est. $2
This Jack Bodywash only has 5 ingredients: water, organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, potassium hydroxide, fragrance/essential oils. It made by Nina Marie Skincare, which appears to be out of business. When I went to their website, it looks like it has disappeared.
Here is the June 2018 Gentleman's Box. The socks, pocket square, cuff links, and dopp kit were of really high quality! I could totally see Chris Pratt sporting these pieces on the red carpet!
Should you subscribe to the Gentleman's Box?
With Father's Day coming up, the Gentleman's Box would make a great gift for your dad or grandfather who likes to go to work or go out in style. This month's box had a value of $159! I do think the pocket square was a little overvalued, but even so, the value of this box is still over $100. For only $25/month, this box is a great deal!
