american-gluten-free-subscription-box-june-2018

The American Gluten Free Subscription Box sends you a pretty hefty box of gluten free goodies every month. This month, we are reviewing the Snack Box, which is both gluten free and dairy free.

Each month, you'll get 8-10 snacks and goodies perfect for at home and on-the-go snacking. Every box is different and is packed with the perfect balance of healthy treasures and guilty pleasures. Enjoy a huge variety of sweet & salty snacks from chips, cookies, dried fruit, nuts, granola, popcorn, chocolate, energy bars and much more!

American Gluten-Free is a Celiac Safe subscription box for anyone living a gluten free lifestyle either for medical need, a gluten intolerance or as a dietary choice.

Price: $24.95 per month

The Box

I was really surprised with how heavy the American Gluten Free subscription box was. It weighed in at nearly 4 pounds and came in a large white box.

Inside the Box

Upon opening the box, I saw there was quite and array of goodies that I could eat right out of the package, and some that I would need to cook myself. Since I'm on a gluten free diet already, I'm already used to making my own baked goods, so this is no problem! I was glad to see many full-size packages vs. a bunch of samplers from this box.

The Daily Crave Himalayan Pink Salt Lentil Chips

These Himalayan Pink Salt Lentil Chips from the Daily Crave have 4 grams of protein, are Vegan, Kosher and Certified Gluten Free. These chips are also non-GMO! They are actually quite tasting. I would buy these again for sure!

Bob's Red Mill Shortbread Cookie Mix

I have bought many different Bob's Red Mill gluten free flours, but didn't know they had a Shortbread Cookie Mix! I haven't had shortbread in years due to my gluten sensitivity, so can't wait to bake and try these cookies!

Mylk Labs Roasted Almond & Himalayan Pink Salt Oatmeal

This oatmeal is gluten free and 100% whole grain. All you do is add boiling water to the cup and let it stand for 2-3 minutes. This would be a great breakfast item that is quickly made – you could also eat this at your desk at work!

Nuturme Organic Ancient Grain Cookies with Probiotics

These cookies are gluten free, dairy free, soy free, and egg free. They're perfect for those of you with multiple food allergies! I also love they have probiotics. My family gobbled these flavor packed cookies up. I'm so glad these made it into American Gluten Free's box this month!

Good Karma Chocolate Flaxmilk + Protein

I haven't tried Flaxmilk yet, but this box of milk has 7 grams of plant protein and 1100 mg of Omega-3. I'm super excited to try this milk!

Chebe Focaccia Mix

Included with this mix are 2 recipes (below) that can be made with this mix. Or, you can just make gluten free Focaccia bread!

Gluten free donuts are sooo hard to come by! This looks like a pretty good recipe, but I'm going to have to add a sugar glaze on top!

This Bacon Focaccia Spiral recipe would be great to make for a party if you have gluten free guests.

Coconut Energy Rickaroons Chocolate Blond Coconut Dark Chocolate

These Rickaroons cookies are organic and gluten free. My husband gobbled these up and I didn't get a chance to taste them! I'll have to watch him more closely next time I open one of these boxes!

Barney Butter Almond Butter

I have tried these Barney Butter packets before. They're great for a quick, on-the-go snack that you can spread on fruit, crackers, or alone! This almond butter is non-GMO.

Hey Yoyo Organic Black Sesame Seeds

The back of this package says these organic black sesame seeds have an extensive range of minerals and vitamins to help boost immunity & collagen production. Since I have a bit of a sore throat right now, I'm taking these, stat!

There are a couple of Cal-Organic coupons in this month's box too. I will definitely use these at the store to buy organic baby carrots!

The Verdict

About 75% of this snack box exposed me to gluten free brands or products that I didn't know existed. I'm guessing the value of this box doesn't add up to the $24.95 price that I paid. But, because it's hard to find a wide variety of gluten free products at the store, I would gladly pay for this curation service. American Gluten Free did a great job of selecting the products for this box – I didn't find one product I didn't like. All of these products, that were on Amazon, got more than 4 stars! This would make a great gift for someone with Celiac Disease or someone who has gluten sensitivity.

American Gluten Free offers four different box options for you to choose from. The Foodie Box comes with 7+ mostly full sized pantry items for creating delicious meals and comes complete with fun recipes for some tasty inspiration in the kitchen! The Snack Box includes 8+ full and sample size snacks and goodies and is perfect for the gluten free snackers. The Vegan Snack Box has 8+ specially curated snacks that fit the needs of those living a vegan lifestyle. The Kids Club Box features 8+ snacks including baking mixes and occasionally pantry items like pasta or cereal.
