Munchpak Review January 2019

Munch ships their box of monthly goodies in an orange and white box. I love this packaging – it so cute!

My kids were super excited to see this box because they've seen many unboxings on YouTube.

There was a fun astronaut sticker inside!

The info card was signed by “Nick”, who I'm assuming is the person who packed our Munchpak. I'm always a big fan of personalized touches in subscription boxes.

The back of the card tells you about Munchpaks FamilyPak contest – you just need to take a picture, share it on social media, and use the hastag #munchpak.

Munchpack also has a mobile app where you can scan the barcodes of the items you receive and save your favorites so you can remember them for next time.

This was our first peek inside the box…

And here's the spread of 10 goodies plus 1 drink that we got.

I am glad Munchpak included a label with the English label of what the product name, description, and origin was. The allergen information in English was also really great since we have both peanut and gluten allergies in our family. This helped a ton with tasting the food in this box!

Piraque Pizza Crackers from Brazil – $4

These pizza crackers taste a bit like Combos in the US, but it tastes little bit more like the pizza crust with a milder pizza flavoring. These crackers were pretty delicious my son wanted to keep eating them!

Ulker O'LaLa cake bar from Turkey – $2

This cake bar is a soft and fluffy chocolate cake coated with chocolate and with chocolate filling. It tasted just like chocolate cake and my boys adored the flavor! The bar itself was very rich and with a nice chocolaty taste!

Kinder Bueno White from Poland – $3

This is a crunchy white chocolate bar filled with white chocolate and hazelnut cream. This has a crunchy outer shell with a vanilla flavored creamy nougat inside. If you've had a Kinder egg in the US before, this he's exactly just like it but in a bar. Just don't get me started on why I can't buy real Kinder Eggs here in the US! 🙂

Frito Lay Dragon Butter Soy Sauce Chips from Japan – $4

These are crunchy spiral chips with a light soy sauce and butter flavor. I've never had soy sauce in a chip but the soy sauce taste is actually pretty light and I enjoyed the buttery hints in the chips.

Vilac Strawberry Yogurt Jelly from South Korea – $3

These are cherry strawberry yogurt flavored gummies. I haven't had yogurt jellies, and I expected a small sampling of yogurt inside, but these were actually gummies that taste like yogurt. They have a nice, sweet strawberry  flavor and my kids absolutely devoured them.

Kanro Pure Mixed Berry Gummies from Japan – $4

These are strawberry and blueberry flavored gummies. These gummy candies have a sweet and sour taste to them and I really enjoyed them!

Glico Pocky Chocolate Banana Cream Covered Chocolate Biscuits from Thailand – $4

These are crunchy chocolate biscuit sticks covered with a sweet banana cream flavoring. I've had a package that you could buy here in the Asian market which are normally covered in chocolate, but these are covered with chocolate banana cream. They were a nice change to the typical chocolate Pocky sticks that you can buy here in the U.S.

Toxic Waste Sour & Chewy Bears from Brazil – $3

OMG! I think these were the favorite item in this box! They are chewy fruit flavored sour and sweet gummy bears with five different flavors in this pack: pineapple, strawberry, lime, blue raspberry, and tangerine. I didn't didn't care much for the strawberry flavor, but the lime and tangerine are ti to die for! My kids loved these bears, too!

Nobel Super Lemon Tablets from Japan – $4

These are sour and sweet lemon tablet candies. These are amazing with our if you really like sour candy. These are almost unbearably sour for about 5 seconds, and then you get to the sweet lemony taste inside. I had multiple bets going on with my son to see how many we could put in our mouths and for how long. It was a fun game but I think I lost. 🙁 My daughter was in love with this powerful little tablets!

Black Thunder Chocolate Covered Cocoa Cookie Bar from Japan – $2

This is a crunchy cookie bar covered in milk chocolate. This bar has a rice crispy inside with a chocolate coating – this bar was actually pretty good, too.

Suntory Blood Orangina Drink from Japan – $6

This is a blood orange flavored soda. My whole family enjoyed the taste of an orange soda drink that had a hint of grapefruit.

Final Thoughts about the January 2019 Munchpak Box

We got several different new snacks to try ranging from countries in Asia down to South America. We really loved trying all these different international snacks without having a jump on an airplane. One of the things I like to do when I travel is try new snacks in different countries and this is a great way to experience that without having to get on a plane.

Munchpak would make a nice treat or gift for an families looking for a little adventure delivered to their door! We really loved it!
