Orange Art Box November 2019 Review – “Woodland Art”
Orange Art ships their monthly art supplies in a HUGE orange box.
Here's our first peek into the box!
In this box, we got a ton of Fall-themed materials to make Woodland Art.
You also get a folder to help keep your craft table clean. This is a nice, added touch!
The info booklet gives you all color instructions for three Woodland Art projects.
Project #1: Adorned Wooden Tree
Here are the instructions for the Adorned Wooden Tree project.
And here are the materials needed for this project.
My 7-year old son starting out by painting the tree with green and brown paint.
He then used the foam paint daubers to add apples to the tree.
Then he used the paint brush to add stems and leaves to the apples. In the process, he was also adding his favorite stickers to the tree.
He added buttons with the included glue dots (with my help), and then added some bling to the buttons by filling the button wells with golden glitter.

My son was so proud of his woodland tree and critters. This project was the perfect amount of time for a 7-year old's attention span and also held his interest for quite a while. This is a craft that he'll be able to use to decorate his room for the fall season.
Project #2: Decorative Wood Slices
Here are the instructions for the Decorative Wood Slices project.
And here are the materials needed for this project.
My son started out with painting the wooden slices.
He used a mixture of fall colors to create a nice concentric design.
After adding some gold glitter glue, this was the finished product.
Here were the other wood slices – completed! I've seen wood slices used in adult DIY projects, and love that this was a project that my son and I could do together. I think we are going to hang these wood slice ornaments on our Christmas tree when it goes up in about a week or so!
Project #3: Colorful Scratch Leaves

My 12-year old daughter wanted to work on this project, and she used the color instructions as inspiration for her design.
This is how it turned out. Don't you love the tree design that also looks like the leaf's veins? This was very clever!

In Summary
The November 2019 Orange Art Box had a nice assortment of art supplies to complete 3 “Woodland Art” projects. My 7-year old son and 12-year old daughter had a ton of fun working on these projects! It gave them a sense of accomplishment and an outlet to use their creativity. With all the screen time that my kids get now, I was so happy to have these Orange Art Box projects on hand to cure the “I'm bored” blues. The materials included in this box were all of high quality, too. The acrylic paint, paint brushes, daubers, glitter glue, and stickers, are all art supplies we can keep to stock our art bin with for rainy days.
