Annie's CardMaker Kit Club January 2022 Review – Warm Winter Wishes Theme
The Annie’s CardMaker Kit Club January 2022 came in their signature white, artsy-printed, padded envelope.
The theme for this month is “Warm Winter Wishes,” and the cards are so adorable! I love the red and blue color combinations – so cute and perfect for giving out this winter season!
Annie’s CardMaker Kit includes an info sheet that contains all the details of what’s inside your kit.
It has colored, step-by-step instructions that are very easy to follow!
This month's card making techniques are Layering and Stamping. I love these cardmaking techniques – they super easy to do!
Annie’s CardMaker Club provided cards, envelopes, card stock, patterned papers, and die-cut sheets to create this month's cards.
They also included clear stamps, texture paste, adhesive foam squares, craft stick, and baker’s twine.
I also needed the following supplies that were not included in this kit:
- Scissors or paper cutter (I have this Fiskars Paper Trimmer)
- Adhesives
- CardMaker Tool Kit (which is provided in your first Annie's CardMaker Club kit)
- Black ink or marker
- Pencil
- Ruler
These are how the finished cards should look according to the instruction booklet.
The technique used for making these cards are layering and stamping. How to's on these techniques are in Annie’s instruction booklet. For the stamping technique, I used my We R Memory Keepers Stamping Tool to make stamping more precise and less prone to ink overage when I stamp.
Now, let’s take a look at the four cards I made while following Annie’s instruction booklet!
“Warm Wishes” Card
For this card, I used an aqua hearts patterned paper, a red cardstock, and a red baker’s twine. I then folded, layered, and adhered the papers as instructed. And then, I applied a small dot of texture paste to the whipped cream die cut.
I used a craft stick to spread the texture paste to the whipped cream area of the die-cut.
I spread the texture paste unevenly to look like a real whipped cream in a cup!
Here’s the finished output of my Warm Wishes card.
“Mugs & Kisses” Card
For this card, I used blue cardstock, snowflakes patterned paper and white cardstock. I then adhered the snowflakes patterned paper onto the white cardstock and then stamped the “Hugs & Kisses” and the large outline onto the card using black ink. Just like the first card, I also applied a texture paste but this time, to the marshmallow die cut. I waited for it to dry – and then it was done!
“Hugs & Kisses” Card
For this card, I used a multi-striped patterned paper, white cardstock, and an aqua baker’s twine. I then punched out the hearts and “Hugs & Kisses” die cut, and then adhered them on to the white cardstock and patterned paper. And then I adhered all of the die cuts on to the blue cardstock – and it was done! I love the heart-die cuts of this card – just in time for me to use for Valentine’s day!
“Sending You a Cup of Cheer” Card
For this last card, I used the peppermint patterned paper, red baker's twine, and white and red cardstock. I then punched out the following die cuts: a large red mug and two small snowflakes. And then I adhered it all to the white cardstock as instructed. Using black ink, I then stamped the “Sending You a Cup of Cheer” die cut, and adhered everything on to the peppermint patterned paper. This card is perfect for the winter season!
And here’s every card I made by following Annie’s CardMaker instruction booklet! I can’t wait to give these handmade cards this year – it would surely make someone feel special!
