The May 2020 theme is “Thoughts & Prayers”. During this time of COVID-19, these cards are timely to make to send to those who need some well wishes.

Here's are first look of what we got in this month's box.

The cards this month are a bit different because the card stock is used as the actual card itself AND as the card's envelope. The new technique for this month is “Envelope Cards”.

Thinking of You Card

Here are the materials we needed to make the Thinking of You Card. We cut all of the card stock according to the instructions that were provided in this kit.

Our final product looked like this. We layered the yellow, navy, and white card stock onto the floral pre-cut card stock, then used the included stickers to add the Thinking of You sticker and floral stickers.

The other design that we came up with on our own was this “Prayers” design.

Get Well Soon Card

The Get Well Soon Card used these materials. These cards were really fast to make as you can see from the materials below.

This was our completed card. For this card, we used the light mauve rectangular card stock as the cards base.

The second card that we made used the “Keep Smiling” sticker.

Warmest Wishes Card

The Warmest Wishes Card used the materials below. I am really in love with this mint chevron paper!

This is what the completed Warmest Wishes card looked like. So adorable! this card used the navy ribbon to add some texture and interest.

The second design that we made using the mint card backing used this “Just a Note” sticker, as well as the navy ribbon.

Sending Thoughts & Prayers Card

The Sending Thoughts and Prayers Card used these materials.

This is what the final card looked like. We used the included stamps to stamp on the “Sending Thoughts & Prayers” Sentiment.

Our second design using this floral card backing used the “Feel Better Soon” sticker.

I wanted to show you how these cards serve as both the card and the envelope.

You can see how the flaps fold to form the envelope.

So neat, and the envelope itself has so much color and interest! Who wouldn't want to receive this lovely card and envelope?!?

On the front of the envelope, you would need to use a white label to write the recipient's mailing address. Annie's also included those white mailing labels in case you don't have your own.

In Summary

The May 2020 Annie's CardMaker Kit-of-the-Month Club was a unique experience for me. I have not seen card stock that is used as the cards base and as the envelope (aka, Envelope Cards). The pattern of each card base makes the envelope beautiful and/or the opening of each card so gorgeous! The navy blue floral and mint green designs in this month's kit were absolutely perfect! Wouldn't you agree?
