Lillypost March 2019 Review

Lillypost ships their box of books in a cute, slim box.

There are cute little foxes on the sides of the box.

You can subscribe to Lillypost via their website, or you can buy Lillypost book boxes at Target.

Here's a first look into the box.

You can choose to have the books wrapped Or unwrapped. I really like being able to choose the option of having the books wrapped, which makes for an even nicer a gift.

Each month, Lillypost holds a coloring contest where you can draw their Fox Finnley into the monthly theme. This month's theme is “Colours” and this card gives you some fun facts about colors. One fact that I didn't know was that the human eye can see about 7,000,000 different colors. That's pretty amazing!

The winner of the monthly coloring contest wins a mystery box full of books, activities and special goodies that any child would love. All you have to do is post your picture Using the #LillyPostBox. The prize Is worth $90.

I'm really kind of obsessed With the cuteness of this box. Even the interior has Finnley the fox featured in the bottom of the box.

We got 3 wrapped books. It looks like we got the mixed book box with 2 picture books and one board book. We also got a fun a sheet of fox stickers.

Here are some closeups of the adorable wrapping paper. Again we see Finley the Fox on this wrapping paper which is just super cute.

The board box was wrapped in white wrapping paper with some black accents.

And the other picture book was wrapped in black wrapping paper with white stars. This wrapping paper is of really high quality which I was pleasantly surprise by.

I let my kids open the wrapped books that we got in March 2019 mix book box. My kids really liked opening the books because what kid doesn't love a surprise?

Here are the books that we got!

The Opposite Zoo by il Sung Na

This board book titled “The Opposite Zoo” is it cute book That would help your toddle learn about opposites. I remember reading plenty of these types of books to my kids when they were toddlers.

I really liked all of the colors and the opposite examples that a child can learn about in this book.

Animals always have such an appeal with this age group, so I think that this book is a perfect choice for any child who is from newborn age to 3 years old.

Hector The Collector By Emily Beeny

“Hector the Collector” was probably our favorite book in this box. It's a book about a boy Is actually a dog who collects acorns.

He compares himself with his classmates and their typical collections like stamps and baseball cards.

But Hector, and eventually his classmates, see the beauty in his acorn collection because nature makes each day acorn so different and unique.

Hiccup By Jaclin Azoulay

Hiccup is about a pig Is trying to stop hiccupping.

At the same time he also believes that his friends and family have forgotten his birthday.

This book is another typical journey of a farm animal trying to find the solution to a problem, in this case “hiccupping” and visiting other farm animals along the way to help him.

In Summary

The Lillypost March 2019 Mixed Book Box had a nice variety of 2 picture books and 1 board book. The books themselves were educational, colorful, and entertaining for kids ages newborn to about 7 years old. My 7 year old really enjoyed the picture books. If you're looking for a great gift, especially since Easter is right around the corner, you may want to consider Lillypost – you can never go wrong with giving a child the gift of reading!
