There is a Brick Loot Story card. It started with a 9-year old boy who was disappointed with a geeker/gamer subscription box. He created his own subscription box born out of his love for Legos. He found creative designers to design custom Lego builds and companies with exciting brick products.

Here is a photo of Parker, the founder. He has a Brick Loot store in Deerfield, IL. We will have to try to visit the next time we’re in Chicago!

Now, let’s get a closer look at what’s inside this box!

LEGO Batman Minifigure

This is an original LEGO Batman Minifigure!

I couldn’t find this specific minifigure on Amazon.com, so that makes getting this LEGO Batman minifig more special!

He comes completed with several tools (batarangs, hook, wrench, chainsaw, etc.)!

My 11-year old son really like assembling this Bat ride!

brick-loot-december-2020-review-batman - 29

Mini City Bank

This Mini City Bank building set has a whopping 260+ pieces!

brick-loot-december-2020-review-batman - 9

It does not have official LEGO pieces, but the bricks are pretty similar to real LEGO pieces.

brick-loot-december-2020-review-batman - 15

The instruction sheet is 2 sided and comes in full color!

brick-loot-december-2020-review-batman - 16

I found the instruction sheet to be a little confusing for my 11-year old to start on is own, but I think that was just because the coloring was a bit off (black LEGO pieces were shown as grey in some of the steps).

Nevertheless, I got my son started on building this set after a little problem solving!

You can see how the brick pieces fit together. It’s not the tight fit you would get from LEGO, but it was WAY better than other knock-off Lego sets we’ve tried in the past.

The details of this mini bank were pretty amazing, with a lamp post, torch lights, and a small bush!

brick-loot-december-2020-review-batman - 3 (1)

The lower level has the bank teller windows, and the upper level has an office with the money vaults.

brick-loot-december-2020-review-batman - 4 (1)

The office has a computer monitor with a screen that tilts!

The outside architecture was pretty cool with the mix of round columns and smooth brick features.

brick-loot-december-2020-review-batman - 6 (1)

I also like the arched blue windows!

brick-loot-december-2020-review-batman - 7 (1)

Here you can see the upstairs and downstairs inside the bank. There is even a cute sitting booth on the lower level!

Wrap Up

My 11-year old son and I had so much fun putting together the December 2020 Brick Loot Bat Detective set! We really liked all of the details of the Bank design and the 1966 Bat Ride. The LEGO Batman minifigure and the Bat Ride really pulled the theme of this Bat Detective set together! All of the items together make this the perfect set for a play bank heist! We did notice we didn’t get the LEGO Robber minifigure, but we will contact Brick Loot’s customer service and see what they say.

We can’t wait to get our next Brick Loot box!
