Brick Loot February 2022 Review “Sushi Ninja”

Brick Loot sends all their LEGO and brick building sets in their signature blue box.

Here's a peek at everything inside our box!

The theme for Brick Loot February 2022 box is “Teenage Mutant Ninja Sushi” – we love sushi and my boys love ninjas!

The info sheet contains all the details of every product inside the box. We got 1 LEGO building set, 1 brick building set, a Sushi Maki Pack, and 1 minifigure! We also got a 2×2 Round Brick Red LED Light Kit that can serve as a light for our sushi restaurant! Each set comes with step-by-step full color instructions, which makes it super easy to assemble these sets!

Brick Loot LEGO Sushi Ninja

This building set was exclusively designed for Brick Loot by Tyler Clites! All bricks in this set are 100% LEGO, and my boys love the design of this ninja that looks like a piece of sushi!

It contains 63 real LEGO pieces!

They also included additionals step-by-step color instructions on how to assemble sushi and chopsticks with extra LEGO pieces you may have lying around the house – and we have many!

We started by assembling the base of the ninja.

Here, you can see his face coming together. I love the ginger and wasabi decorations that he has on his head! Or, is that salmon and avocado?

And once he was done, he was holding 2 huge katanas. Who wouldn't be afraid of this Sushi Ninja?

Make Your Own Maki Pack

I had to look up what Maki means, and it actually means the typical sushi rolls (wrapped in Nori) that we love eating! Brick Loot included this fun Maki decal sheet, along with round bricks to put the decals on.

There are 35 brick tiles and even more decals!

My 10-year old really loved helping with these since this was such a unique idea to him! They are just adorable!

Sushi Chef Minifigure – 100% LEGO

This Sushi Chef Minifigure was custom printed for Brick Loot.

He is looking like a super sushi chef, ready to chop up some raw fish and veggies!

Here's a look at the back of him. I love how he has the bandana and all!

I have to say, my favorite part about this sushi chef are the fish details on his vest/shirt!

Mini City Sushi Bar

We were over the moon to see a Sushi Bar that we can build using LEGO-like building bricks!

It's such a cute design and has 190 pieces! It also comes with step-by-step color instructions.

We started by building the base of the restaurant – complete with booths, tables, and a cash register. The outside also has stools for customers who want to eat in the open air!

Next we began building the upper level with another table and some plants.

The roof had some darling sashimi on it! I really love how these mini city building sets have ornate decorations for their stores and restaurants!

When we put it all together, we got this amazing Sushi Bar, with signs with the sushi menu and an adorable storefront!

Here is the back of the Sushi Bar, where you can see the tables and booths.

We added the 2×2 round LED light brick, which would make this Sushi Bar stand out on a lively night in our Mini City!

Summary

All in all, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Sushi box from Brick Loot was a lot of fun. My boys loved the TMNT ninja sushi – so unique and so fun! The Sushi Chef Minifigure is 100% LEGO and very well done. I also really liked the build for the Sushi Bar itself. It was simple but still looked great when finished. The Make Your Own Maki pack was also super unique, and made play time more fun for my boys as they served sushi at their Sushi Bar. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this set to anyone who likes LEGOs and sushi (or ninjas). Have you tried any of the Brick Loot sets? What did you think?
