Seoulbox November 2021 “Wonka Café” Review

Seoulbox sent their yummy Korean goodies and products in a large white box.

Seoulbox Review 013

Here’s a peek of what we got! I love the “Welcome to Korea” and interior decoration. It makes me feel like I'm partially getting transported to Korea!

Seoulbox Review 015

My kids first saw this cute yellow plushie, and they love it! Everything we got in our box is jam-packed with Seoul chocolate and coffee snacks that we couldn't wait to try!

Seoulbox Review 016

In every Seoulbox, you can find Haechis — one of the most beautiful and mystical creatures found in South Korea, Seoul.

Seoulbox Review 010

Seoulbox also includes a magazine that contains all the details about the products they sent us.

Seoulbox Review 017

This November, Seoulbox’s theme is “Wonka Café” and the theme features chocolate & coffee culture in Korea. It reminds me of Willy Wonka here in the US, sans the coffee of course!

Seoulbox Review 018

Here’s a tasting guide section of the magazine so you will know what to expect when yo taste in each goodie.

Seoulbox Review 019

Seoulbox Review 020

Here is a background story about coffees and cafes in Korean Culture. This is a nice way to know and understand the culture of Koreans – I didn't know cafes were so engrained in their culture.

Seoulbox Review 021

Now, let’s take a closer look at each yummy treat!

Potato Chip Hot Gobchang

Seoulbox Review 022

The popular soju side dish inspired this potato chip. It's crunchy and has a gobchang (beef intestine) flavor, making it unique. I wasn't quite sure about the beef instetine, but didn't really taste that at all. It was like a normal beef flavored chip.

Seoulbox Review 2 002

Nature is Tasty Hong Myun

I like the rich and deep broth of this noodle! It has natural ingredients that feature beef mushroom stew.

Seoulbox Review 023

You need to boil 500 ml water, empty all the sachet, and cook for 4 min 30 seconds. This nice, warming bowl of noodles is perfect for this cold ,winter weather!

Seoulbox Review 2 010

Myeong Ga Gamtae Seaweed

This is my favorite in this box! I love this seaweed – it is made from 15% gamtae and 85% gim (normal seaweed).

Seoulbox Review 024

It has a light texture, flavorful taste, and elegant aroma. Seaweed chips are now one of my favorite healthy snacks! No carbs at all!

Seoulbox Review 2 007

BTS Hot Brew Vanilla Latte

This latest release features Koreas hottest *K-Pop group, BTS. I love the stylish art nouveau-looking bottle!

Seoulbox Review 025

This ready-to-drink premium coffee has a perfect balance of deep and sweet espresso-based hot brew extract and vanilla extract. The coffee beans are from Vietnam, with the flavor and taste of strong coffee, and sweet tasting milk. It has a very strong vanilla flavor!

Seoulbox Review 2 009

Jeju Tangerine Chocolate Pepero

This newly-launched limited edition flavor of snack sticks from Lotte Pepero is so yummy!

Seoulbox Review 026

The chocolate sticks are coated with fresh and sweet tangerine from Jeju Island. It features a strong tangerine flavor due to the tangerine biscuit coated with tangerine chocolate. I also like the company's campaign promoting domestic agricultural products. My kids love these!

Seoulbox Review 2 012

Coffee Peanuts

These sweet peanuts coated in coffee-tasting rock sugar are a yummy snack! This is a popular side dish for soju and beer drinking in Korea.

Seoulbox Review 027

I love the pleasing aroma of coffee while eating peanuts at the same time!

Seoulbox Review 2 001

Dinosaur Egg Chips

Seoulbox Review 028

These dinosaur egg chips were so intriguing to my kids. Just like a dinosaur egg, they have a sour and savory taste. These chips had a very pungent smell, so while fun to try – we did not eat many of them.

Five Grains Cocoa Balls Bar

Seoulbox Review 029

This Five Grains Coco Ball Bar has just been released in the form of a bar. Each bar contains 9 vitamins, 3 minerals, and calcium – full of nutrition! You can also pair this with your favorite milk drink anytime, anywhere!  It is also featured in some popular k-dramas! So, you can feel like the actors/actress while enjoying the snack!

Seoulbox Review 2 011

Dream Cacao by Lotte Snacks

Seoulbox Review 001

This dark chocolate cube deep in flavors is easy to snack on, an has excellent texture that melts in your mouth. I was pleasantly surprised that these cubes weren’t very sweet at all! And they don't have too much caffeine. One little chocolate nugget melted slowly in my mouth and only has less than 1 carb! The container is totally portable – easy to pop into my bag before I hop into the car!

Seoulbox Review 2 005

Margaret Baked Mocha Cookies

Seoulbox Review 002

This mocha bun will make you feel like you're in the subway across the station in Seoul. It has a crumbly texture with light mocha bun flavors of the cookie top. This is best paired with milk or coffee for a snack!

Seoulbox Review 2 004

Mon Cher Cake Salty Peanuts

Seoulbox Review 2 003

A cake covered in caramel peanut chocolate. Underneath the three cute chocolate curves, sponge, and peanut butter cream hidden. It's best paired with coffee and I really liked it!

Binch Caffe Mocha

Seoulbox Review 006

This Chocolate biscuit with a coffee tweak has a surprising light cinnamon taste! The biscuit wears a luxurious European pattern at the center of it. You can now enjoy Café Mocha chocolate and short biscuit snacks at the same time. This was one of my favorite snacks in this box – you can't go wrong pairing a biscuit with chocolate!

Seoulbox Review 2 006

Arabica Coffee Gum

Seoulbox Review 005

This chewing gum has a smokey, sweet Arabica coffee flavor and is fairly soft. I have never seen or tried coffee flavored gum before, so this was quite interesting!
