Toy Box Monthly December 2020 Review – Boy Box

Toy Box Monthly ships in a bright yellow colored box.

Upon opening the box we were greeted with a card that says “Hi Friends! I'm in Space!”.

This card provides some educational information about the solar system and planets. Some fun tips include “The sun is over 300,000 times more massive than Earth” and “the solar system formed around 4.6 billion years ago”.  I didn't even know these fun facts!

The back of the card has a fun activity for your kids to fill in the blanks for each of the planets in the solar system. The activity is called “Name that planet!”. Cute!

First Peek into the box!

Now let's get on to see each of these products a little more closely!

Playmobil Ghostbusters II Peter Venkman Playset – Retail Value $10.99

My son is really into Ghostbusters so this was a really cool toy for him.

Once you assemble Peter Venkman and the clear hologram cone oh, you can use the free play mobile app the Trap ghost in the cone.

The only thing I would say about this toy is Peter Venkman doesn't really look like Bill Murray!

Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures Darth Maul Action Figure – Retail Value $15

It was another hit with my son because he's a huge Star Wars fan! This Darth Maul figure is nearly 4 inches tall and has movable arms so he can use his double-bladed lightsaber.  I really like how Toy Box monthly included 2 toys based on super popular movies!

WWE SuperStar Wall Walker Blind Bag – Retail Value $6.99

We got a super rare, hard to find WWE Superstar Wall Walker blind bag.

This Wall Walker has gel hands and gel feet that helps it attach to the wall and will flip over and over to walk down the wall.

If you have a WWE fan in your house, I think they would really love this toy.

While my son isn't really into WWE, he really liked playing with the wall walker.

Secret Life of Pets Blind Bag Mini Pets – Est. Retail Value $4.17

This Secret life of Pets Blind Bag gives you the chance to get one of nine secret life of pets minifigures.

We got Crazy Snowball, and you can see he's really crazy here because he's screaming his head off. Secret life of pets is a super popular movie with kids – my kids really love it.

Trolls Blind Bag series 9 – Est. Retail Value $4.17

In this Blind Bag you get a chance to collect one of 12 Trolls minifigures. In our baby got a blue troll with orange hair. my kids liked playing with the hair, but this is probably the least favorite toy in the box.

Wrap Up

The December 2020 Toy Box Monthly Box was a hit with my 11-year-old son. Getting action figures from Star Wars and Ghostbusters was a real treat for him! Movie themed toys are always a hit in my household. He also got three blind bags which seemed a bit too many for me, but he loved two of them and I know most kids love blind bags. If your child loves discovering new toys from brands like Disney, LOL!, Hatchimals, Marvel, LEGO, DC Comics, Barbie, etc, Toy Box Monthly would be a great gift for them.

Retail Value: The retail value of our box was estimated to be $38.15. This was a decent deal for only $25 a month and free shipping, and many of the toys we received are hard to find online right now.
