Annie's Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month Club Floral Hoop Art Review
Annie’s Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month Club came in a cute, white padded envelope.
The project for this month is Floral Hoop Art! It looks so nice and will look good as a wall décor!
Here are the included materials in the kit: it 2 wooden embroidery hoops, felt, embroidery floss, needle, thread, pattern sheet, and chalk. I also needed to supply a wet paper towel, scissors, hot glue gun and a pen.
Annie’s Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month Club also includes an info booklet that contains all the details for this month’s project. It also has colored step-by-step instructions that are very easy to follow!
Now, let’s move forward to the process of making this floral hoop art!
Stitch Hello & Lines
I did the “hello” embroidery first. The first step was to trace the word “hello” by using the pen, then I flipped it over and traced the “hello” with a chalk.
I flipped it again to the other side so that the “hello” pattern was facing up. I adjusted to be a little bit off-center and then placed it on the gray felt.
I rubbed the “hello” pattern paper to transfer the chalk traced beneath it.
I used the backstitch technique when began to add the embroidery.
And here’s the finished product!
Create Flowers
I began making many different kinds of felt flowers using the instructions.
Looped Mum
I used a blue-colored felt for this loop mum. I folded it in half and glued it along its edges.
I then cut into the folded felt to create the petals for this mum.
Then I rolled the felt and stitched the end part.
This is the finished loop mum! Isn’t it too cute?
I also made two mums of different size and color.
I just loove this little felt mums!
Felt Rosette
For the rosette, I used brown felt and cut it into a spiral.
Then I rolled it starting from the edge of the spiral.
And this was the finished rosette!
Wavy Felt Rosette
For the wavy rosette, I cut the felt into a wavy spiral to give that wavy effect of the flower.
Then I rolled it and this is how it looked!
I added the felt flowers to the brown felt background with a glue gun. This is the finished project and I so love the combination of colors of this floral hoop art!
I created different sizes and colors of each flower and they looked so nice when they were all put together.
This could be pretty nice wall décor or a welcome sign to hang on my door!
Wrap Up
This Floral Hoop Art from Annie’s Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month Club was so fun to make and makes for some beautiful handmade home decor. This is a craft project that I would not have thought to do on my own, and I’m so happy everything was sent directly to my door. I love the variety of felt flowers and color and the navy and light brown colors will go well with the colors in my family room. I love having craft projects like these to help me get my craving on!
