Annie's Creative Woman Kit-of-the -Month Club Reversible Holiday Banner Review
The Annie's Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month came in their signature cute padded envelope.
Here’s the craft kit for this month’s project — A Reversible Holiday Banner! Just in time for Thanksgiving!
Here is the information brochure with all of the instructions you need to make this Reversible Holiday Banner. One side of the banner spells out “Thankful” and the other side spells out “Joyful”.
It also has colored step-by-step instructions that are very easy to follow!
Here are the included materials in the kit: die cuts banner flags, white letter stickers, pre-cut burlap, wooden beads (in large and small sizes), twine, and a tapestry needle. I also needed to supply a ruler, scissors, and tape.
I punched out all the die cuts and arranged them into two rows. The first row has all the red checker patterned die cuts, and the second row has the alternating die cuts of orange and brown.
Using a ruler, I measured 1 and 1/4″ from the top of the orange and brown die cuts and added the letter “T.” I repeated this step for the rest of the letters to spell “Thankful”, and then flipped the flags over in reverse order to spell “Joyful”.
Here are all the flags with the sticker letters that formed the THANKFUL and JOYFUL words. It’s so perfect for the upcoming holiday season!
I then measured 120 inches length of twine using a ruler. I just wrapped the twine around the ruler 10 times to get 120 inches of twine. I also cut 16 eight inch lengths of twine.
Then I strung the wooden beads in this order: large, small, large, small and large!
I then placed a “Thanks” die cut flag on top of a piece of burlap and put a “Joyful” die cut flag under the same piece of burlap. Using the needle, I inserted the an eight inch lenght of twine into the die cut holes on both the front and back and then removed the needle and tied a knot.
I repeated these steps for the second hole, and then I made sure to tie a knot and trimmed the ends.
I threaded the 120″ length of twine through the knots I just tied into the burlap flag.
The pattern below was repeated for each and every set of beads and letter flag.
So, first we added the beads and then the letter flag. I made sure to adjust the beads and flag to have more space for the other die cuts — I repeated the steps until I formed the word!
Here’s the finished product of the Reversible Holiday Banner. These holiday banners added a very nice touch to our home!
I’ve decided to put it in on our upstairs banner in our living room, so we can see it all the time. I love the unique and simple, rustic farmhouse design!
And here is our finished “Joyful” Holiday Banner.

This Reversible Holiday Banner from Annie’s Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month Club was so easy to make and will do double duty at Thanksgiving and Christmas! I love how Annie’s provided me so many pre-cut, high-quality materials and the step-by-step details on how to make it! I also like the combination of the burlap and beads which gave this banner a rustic and farmhouse feel! This month’s craft project is so festive and came just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The words “Joyful” and “Thankful” really express what we are feeling, especially with everything happening around us right now.
