Annie’s CardMaker Club May 2021 Review – Baby Love Edition
The Annie’s CardMaker Kit Club May 2021 came in a white, artsy-printed, padded envelope.
My previous CardMaker Club Kits from Annie’s were sent in a plain, white envelope – this is a new mailer design and I find this cute!
The theme for this month is “Baby Love” and the cards are so adorable! These cards are perfect along with gift giving for baby showers or new baby arrivals!
Annie’s CardMaker Kit includes an info sheet that contains all the details of what’s inside your kit.
It also has colored and thorough step-by-step instructions that will guide you in making the cards.
To create this month’s cards, Annie’s CardMaker Club provided white and green pre-scored cards, patterned papers, acetate sheets, and baby-themed die cut sheets.
They also included clear stamps, sequins, buttons, brads, adhesive foam strips, and a ribbon that will be used for creating artsy designs for this month's cards.
I also needed the following supplies that were not included in this kit:
- Scissors or paper cutter (I have this Fiskars Paper Trimmer)
- Adhesives (I use TomBow Mono Permanent Adhesive, foam adhesive from Amazon, and Scotch Tacky Glue.)
- CardMaker Tool Kit (which is provided in your first Annie's CardMaker Club kit)
The techniques that are used in making these cards are layering, stamping, and adding brads! I used my We R Memory Keepers Stamping Tool for the stamping technique – it’s very precise and prevents ink overspill!
Now, let’s take a look at the cards I made following Annie’s instruction booklet!
“Sweet Baby” Card
In making this card, I used a green and white pre-scored card. I also used a large square frame, the “BABY” letters, “SWEET” banner, and the branch and large owl die cuts.
I attached the white pre-scored card to the front side of the green pre-scored card and attached the letters “BABY” to it. I also adhered the “SWEET” banner to the top corners of the large frame and this is how it looked.
The owl die cut looks so cute! I also like how the sequins are multi-colored – it looks so fun when shaken!
“Cute as a Button” Card
For this card, I used the alphabet, polka-dot, and orange patterned papers. The dimensions of each pieces of paper to cut are also given in the instructions which makes it easier creating the base portion of the cards! I also used a white pre-scored card and a ribbon. I stamped “CUTE AS A BUTTON” using my We R Memory Keepers Stamping Tool and adhered the scalloped circle frame die cut along with the mini buttons in it. I adore this little buttons!!!
“Baby” Card
This card was pretty easy to make! I used the orange and polka-dot patterned papers and a baby frame die cut along with a cloud acetate die cut to create the “shaker” effect with the sequins inside of it. I also used the bradding technique with the heart tag die cut for this card – the brad adds some interest and texture. I also adhered flower die cuts on the upper left corner and they add a nice touch to this card!
“Welcome to the World Little One” Card
The last card I made had pretty much the same technique used for this month’s cardmaking kit. I used the green and orange patterned papers and a “WELCOME to the world LITTLE ONE” rectangle frame. The adhesive foam adds a nice layering effect, too! I also used a small owl die cut and adhered it at the bottom left corner of this card.
Here are the four cards I made! The instructions were very easy to follow and I do have to say these cards look tunred our really nice if I do say so myself!
Aren’t these so adorable? I can’t wait to send them to my friends who are expecting a baby soon!
Wrap Up
Annie’s CardMaker Club May 2021 Baby Love Edition was so cuuuute! Annie’s CardMaker Club provides most of the materials that you will need along with colored step-by-step instructions to make these adorable cards! They make cardmaking so easy and the patterned paper, die cuts, and embellishments make these cards look like a pro made them! This month's primary cardmaking technique was “shaker” cards which add so much interest to these cards. I made four cards but I had many more materials to make at least 4 more cards. I will be sure to save these baby cards for my expecting friends!
