Gramma in a Box June 2021 Review – Emoji and Minion Treats Edition
Gramma in a Box sends all their goodies in their signature red box.
The theme for the month of June 2021 is Emoji and Minion Treats!
Here’s everything inside my box! Each of the ingredients are nicely packed in reusable plastic cup containers, bags, and/or shrink wrap!
We have two projects for this month: the Emoji Pops and the Emoji and Minion Cookies!
Gramma in a Box also includes an info card that contains the list of everything inside the box and what you’ll need to supply from your kitchen, too! In this case, we only need to supply scissors, a small microwave safe bowl, a paper plate, a knife and spoon, and toothpicks which are optional.
Gramma in a Box also announced a September Theme Contest! You can send your idea in for September’s theme with cookie designs, and the winning idea will be used as the theme for the September box!
Now, let’s move forward to this month’s projects that my kids had a blast doing!
First Project: Emoji Pops
My kids made the Emoji Pops first. This project used the package of marshmallows, popsicle sticks, emoji candies, brown jimmies (sprinkles), and melting chocolate. My kids love marshmallows and they were pretty excited to munch on these treats after decorating them! We also used a spoon and a microwave-safe bowl.
We love how Gramma in a Box lists all the ingredients and allergen info in each project info card – it’s important for us since we have a gluten and peanut allergy in our house!
My kids started by coating the marshmallow with the yellow melting chocolate.
They also used the brown sprinkles that will serve as the “hair” for these emoji pops!
And here are the finished emoji pops! We waited for at least 15 minutes until these completely dried up! Aren’t they just adorable?
These were made by my youngest child! 
I just love the fact that he used his imagination and tried his best on this project!
Second Project: Emoji and Minion Cookies
Our second project was decorating the Emoji and Minion Cookies. We used the cookies, frosting, emoji candies, and sprinkles. We needed a pair of scissors for this project to cut the frosting bags, and we also needed table knives to help us spread the frosting on the cookies evenly!
My kids took turn with each of the colored frostings. They had different ideas on how to decorate their minion cookies!
They said decorating the minion cookies took a bit of time but they enjoyed every minute of creating their own designs!

Wrap Up
The Gramma in a Box June 2021 Emoji Pops and Emoji and Minion Treats theme was such a hit with my kids! They loooove the Minions movie and emojis are a fun way for them to express themselves! My kids especially loved the Emoji Pops and enjoyed eating them afterwards! They loved decorating the minion and emoji cookies and I loved how creative they were with their unique designs! We cannot wait for our next cookie and candy decorating projects from Gramma in a Box!
