We’re back with another Gramma in a Box review! January's theme was “Dogs and Cats”. My kids are having so much fun with this cookie decorating box and I love how this box sparks their imagination. This is such an awesome way to spend quality time for all of us, myself included 🙂

Gramma in a Box January 2022 Review – Dogs and Cats
Gramma in a Box is shipped via USPS and it was sealed in a white, padded Priority Mail shipping bag. They always include a “Best By” date on the envelope to ensure ultimate freshness!
All of Gramma in a Box’s goodies are sent in their signature red box with their cute brand logo and name on the front side of it. The box arrived in excellent condition.
This month's box was packed especially full! They supplied everything we needed to make this month’s projects!
This month’s theme is “Dogs and Cats” – a box with fun-themed cookie decorating projects! We got two projects for this month: Pet Paws and Cats and Dogs Cookies!
Gramma in a Box also includes an info card that lists all of all the contents of the box. They also list what you need from your kitchen and in this case, we only needed to supply scissors, a microwave safe bowl, a paper plate, knife and a spoon, and toothpicks which are optional.
Now, let’s take a closer look at each project that my kids made!
First Project: Pet Paws
The first project is the Pet Paws candies. Before we started, we read the information card and followed the step-by-step instructions while my kids prepared the needed tools. We needed the melting chocolate, Crispy Rice Cereal, M&M candies for this project. The tools that we needed to provide were a spoon and a small microwave-safe bowl.
After melting the chocolate for 1.5 minutes in the microwave, my daughter added and combined the rice cereal using a spoon.
I then placed a dollop of the chocolate mixture and carefully spread it with the back of the spoon. My son added three colorful M&M’s to look like a paw – It looks so cute!
Second Project: Cats and Dogs Cookies
The Second Project is the Cats and Dogs Cookies, and we needed cookies, frosting, and sprinkles provided in the box. We also needed scissors, a paper plate, and a knife. We also use toothpicks to help decorate the cookies!
My son first decorated the cat cookie by adding chocolate around it and spreading colorful sprinkles.
He then added his favorite M&M’s and a cute white candy dog bone.
My daughter decorated this cat cookie – I love the icing color combinations!
My kids decorated this third cookie, and they both love the candy dog bones in different colors!
And here are all the dog and cat-themed cookies and crispy cereal paws we decorated! These cookies and treats are so adorable and delicious!

Wrap Up
Gramma in a Box is always fun for my kids! This month, they got to decorate Dog and Cat themed cookies which were just adorable. They especially loved the different colored icing colors and assortment of sprinkles and candies included in this month's box. They also got to make chocolate covered rice krispie cereal dog “paws” which were a huge hit with them! My kids have so much fun with this cookie decorating box each month, and I love how this box sparks their imagination. This is such an awesome way to spend quality time for all of us, myself included. 🙂 Plus, they enjoyed munching on all the yummy treats! We cannot wait for Gramma in a Box next month!
